🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Earlier this morning, a semi truck struck a power pole in Morristown. At this time, it does not appear our Morristown campus will be impacted by the ongoing repairs by Duke Energy, and therefore, we will not be releasing students early. If this should change, we will make a follow-up announcement.

We understand - it's the beginning of a new year, a new semester, and things are a bit hectic. Your routine might have changed, impacting your student's Transportation Schedule. If your student will be riding a different School Bus either from an address other than your physical address on file or to an address other than your physical address on file, you are required to have an Alternate Transportation Request Form approved and on file with your student's school. Alternate Transportation Request Forms are available for download here: https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/986853/Alternate_Transportation_Request_Form_-_2020-2021.pdf The Alternate Transportation Request Form must be turned in and approved prior to your student riding the alternate route. Did you hear? Our Free Breakfast and Lunch program through Chartwells has been extended through the end of the 2020-2021 School Year.

Don't panic! You have one more day of Winter Break! ☃️ Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. We can't wait to see everyone back in our buildings!

This year, our Transportation Department did something different on the last day of school before Winter Break and held a "Most Festive Holiday Attire" contest for Drivers and Aides at both campuses. The winner at each campus received a gift card from our Director of Transportation. Ms. Collier and Mr. Corn were this year's judges. Our winner for Waldron was Jessica Scudder (Bus # 2), and our winner for Morristown was Pam Bassett (Bus # 17). Congratulations, and thank-you for everything you do for our students to make their days special! ❤

We had our Semi-Annual School Bus Inspections this morning and earned a 100% pass rating. We appreciate all of our Transportation Department personnel for being proactive and diligent with preventive maintenance and preparing for inspections today. 🚌
