Shelby Eastern Schools will be going on time today, Friday, January 10th, 2025. However, we will be running a Wednesday Early Release schedule and dismissing at our regular Wednesday times. Significant snowfall accumulation is not anticipated until after 4:00 PM for our area. Our afternoon Blue River Career Center students will also be dismissed per this schedule.

As a reminder, Shelby Eastern Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay today, Thursday, January 9th. The Shelby County Highway Department has been working closely with our Transportation Department this week to try to effectively clear as many of the roads on our bus routes as possible. We understand there may still be some trouble areas due to refreezing overnight and on lesser traveled portions of county roads. Please give our School Bus Drivers grace this morning as they navigate their routes. We will communicate any significant (10+ minutes) bus route delays via our Shelby Eastern Schools app, social media, and text alert. We appreciate your patience!

Congratulations to the Grand Prize Winners Stephanie Stough (Morristown - Christmas Tree) and Jessica Scudder (Waldron - The Grinch) and the Runner-Ups Brittany Clemons (Morristown - Rudolph) and Joann Stagge (Waldron - Snoopy Christmas Sweater)! Morristown Bus Driver Jon Nelson also spread the holiday cheer on his bus route, handmaking "Santa, Stop Here!" wooden door hangers for each of the students on his route. Good evening, parents. Due to a shortage of Bus Drivers tomorrow morning, Route # 7 will run on a delay. Once another Waldron-area Bus Driver has completed their primary route, they will then run Route # 7 on an approximate 1 hour delay. Students will not be counted tardy or punished because of this alteration. We apologize for this inconvenience and understand if you choose to transport your child yourself. Route # 7 will return to its regular schedule Friday afternoon.
