🎒 Back-to-School Night

  • Monday, August 5th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm

  • Meet teachers, locate classrooms and lockers, and explore extracurricular activities and clubs.

  • Informational meeting at 5:30 or 6:15 in the cafeteria. The same information will be offered at two different times.

  • We’ll be accepting school supply donations to help all of our students succeed. We’ll also take cash donations for our student activity fund. We appreciate any donation you are willing to make to support our students.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

📝 School Supplies

The supply lists for Junior High students are located below. High School teachers will share their supply lists with students on the first day of school (or you can request it at the back-to-school night).

6th Grade Supply List

  • 4 folders (Math, ELA, Soc/Science, Homework)

  • Loose leaf paper or spiral notebook

  • Pencils (Mechanical are best; buy extra lead)

  • 1 box of Kleenex

  • Headphones/earbuds that plug into a computer (No Bluetooth)

7th & 8th Grade Supply List General

  • Headphones/earbuds that plug into a computer. Needed for all core classes and testing. Students should keep them at school or in bookbags. (No Bluetooth)

  • Pencils & Pencil Pouch

  • Additional supplies depending on electives (folder, notebooks, art supplies, etc.)

Math

  • Spiral Notebook

  • 2 Folders with Pockets

  • Dry Erase Markers

  • Eraser for Dry Erase Boards

  • 1 Box of Tissues

Language Arts

  • 1 Spiral Notebook

  • 1 Folder with Pockets

  • 1 Box of Tissues

Science

  • 1 Spiral Notebook

  • 1 Folder with Pockets

  • 1 Box of Tissues

Social Studies

  • 1 Spiral Notebook

  • 2 Folders with Pockets (one stays in the classroom)

  • 10 or 12 pack of colored pencils

  • Blue or Black ink pens

If you are taking 7th or 8th grade Art These items are usually in stock at Walmart, Amazon, and many other retailers.

  • Crayola Washable Watercolor set – 16 colors

  • Daler-Rowney Simply Natural Hair Artist’s Brush Set

  • Folk Art 5070E Acrylic Craft Paint Set, Festival 24 oz., 12 piece

All other classes – The teachers will give students a list at the beginning of school or you may ask them at Back-to-School Night.

🍎 Schedules

Student schedules are now live on Powerschool. Schedules may change as we balance a few classes.

If your student would like to request a schedule change, please email Ms. Swaney (sswaney@ses.k12.in.us) to set up an appointment.

💼 Hiring

MHS has an open position for a HS Instructional Aide. If you are interested in helping students succeed and would like to have the same days off as your children, please complete the application. The school district has several other openings you can explore on our Career Opportunities page.

📸 Senior Photos

  • Photos for our incoming seniors are scheduled for August 1st from 4-7 pm.

  • No appointment necessary.

  • Seniors should dress well for this photo.

  • If unable to attend, senior photos can be taken during the regular school photograph session.
